"The law should work for people — across borders, across systems, and at the moments they need it most."

Muniza Kabir – Managing Partner

Muniza Kabir is a published author and managing partner at Kabir & Alam, where she leads a practice spanning immigration and personal injury law. A dual-licensed lawyer, Muniza was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016 and practices in Ontario as a Barrister & Solicitor — a rare cross-jurisdictional perspective that shapes how she approaches every file. She earned her LLB from the University of London and her LLM with Distinction from Queen Mary University of London, and later completed Harvard Law School's Negotiation Program, training she draws on daily in settlement discussions and high-stakes advocacy alike.

"I've practiced law on three continents. What never changes is this: behind every case is a person whose life is about to change. My job is to make sure it changes for the better."

Before coming to Canada, Muniza practiced public interest and civil litigation in Bangladesh, where her work contributed to landmark judgments before the Supreme Court. That grounding in rights-based advocacy informs her practice today — whether she is guiding a family through the immigration system or fighting for fair compensation for an injured client. Clients know her for the same qualities colleagues do: meticulous preparation, principled negotiation, and genuine care.
